End of the year: 2012 Retrospective
Looking back at the year’s activities, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve done with the last year :) Photography-wise, I’ve done ~24 shoots, so with 52 weeks in the year, it averages out to one shoot every 2 – 3 weeks!
7 x Cosplay shoots
7 x Food styling & photography shoots
10 x Fashion / Portraiture shoots
These shoots have been going on on the side of the main event in my life: the penultimate year of my Medical degree. I’m so happy to be at the tail end of this year, it was certainly challenging but I did it! Alongside clinical placements and teaching during the week, I was doing 1 – 3 study sessions with friends on evenings and weekends, every week from June until November – on top of individual study at home just to feel comfortable with the sheer amount of information we were expected to internalise.
It was hard to stick at it at times but I’m contented with my marks, which reflected the huge amount of effort I put in this year. One of my supervisors said: “remember we work you hard this year for a reason – you have to be able to work under pressure and multitask for the rest of your professional lives”. This year was certainly was a test… and I made it through :)
I’m so ready for whatever 2013 throws my way, hope you are too :)
P.S.: Check back on the blog on 1st Jan, December’s food post will be up, it’s a scheduled update :)
P.P.S: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
