Chisa - Great post Sab! I can really relate to all of this – I had to force myself to be able to put myself out there to succeed in this industry, and it’s really helped me in general. I still try to avoid parties etc where I don’t know many people if I can help it, but if I have to be in that situations I’m definitely less awkward. Sounds like you’re doing really well at this!

Jess - Thank you for this article. You are the best. I can start by expecting growing pains too. Even if I fail, I can try to do better a trillion times! Once again, thank you so much.

Sab - Chisa – Thanks for dropping by :) I’m glad that you’ve been able to evolve with your freelancing as well :) I’ve come to realise that noone enjoys large parties with people they don’t know, even my most extroverted friends!

Jess - If everyone makes mistakes, that means they’ll try something new.

Jess - I want to ask you something; if I do something very uncomfortable and also very unusal, does this mean that something very good will come? Something good will come if I overcome my shyness, right?

  • November 8, 2014 - 6:33 pm

Sab - Hi Jess! Just because you are doing something uncomfortable does not neccessarily mean good things will come. You have to make a decision whether the discomfort is worth the potential benefits. Here are some things to think about; What sorts of things does your shyness hold you back from doing at the moment? How do you think you would feel if you could do these things? Does it cause you discomfort to continue the way you already are? Only you can make these sorts of decisions, as you know yourself best.

    Good luck! :)
