I haven’t updated this blog for a little while because of solid studying for my final exams and celebrating graduation. I had just enough time to recover on Sunday and today, I challenged myself to styling, cooking, editing and blogging this update in one day! Considering my time limitations, I’m happy with what I managed to put together :)

Please excuse the shoddy piping on the gingerbread. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere, eh?
I used a new gingerbread recipe this time – from the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook – I was too lazy to type it up – I found the recipe here. I absolutely love this recipe, it has more spices than other recipes (all spice, ground ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg) and includes dark molasses / treacle. Additionally, the half teaspoon of salt makes these cookies taste a lot more balanced than most, not too sugary.
Would love to enjoy this table setting with a full meal. Perhaps I will prepare one tonight… right after I’ve cleaned up the kitchen. There is a gigantic mess in there and Tom is home and wondering what is for dinner… Gingerbread, apparently.
So that’s all I’ve got time for today, but before you go, I want to know:
If you arrived at my house and the dining table was covered in artificial grass, would you be weirded out or cool with it?
