Floating Along With My Camera

When I booted up my computer this morning, I felt compelled to open up Adobe Illustrator. It’s been quite a while since the last time I made anything in there just for the fun of it.

Before you start criticising the proportions / perspectives, I would like to acknowledge that I am not a particularly good illustrator!

    Awww! Its adorable :D it does look like you’re floating on a lilly pad. You could use this as part of your blog layout?

    SO CUTE! Proportions are irrelevant for stylised stuff, as long as it looks cool which it does XD I like the gradients, very pretty style.

    @ Skye: Oooh, perhaps I should draw some lilies floating in the background. Ooh, layout redesign is a good idea :)

    @ Chisa: Thankyou! That’s a huge compliment coming from you ;) I’m obsessed with gradients right now, learning how to do illustrator opacity masks have also changed my life, hehe.

    this totally makes me think you should check out the Candy Cult exhibition in the Breadbox gallery in Northbridge (three doors up from dusit thai). http://artrage.com.au/festival/view/silver/event/34 .
    The creatures in there are very reminiscent and all totally awesome.
